Testifying Power. Verse 24: "Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner." In other words, "Join us in blasphemy, or we'll excommunicate you out of the synagogue." So thanksgiving relates us to the goodness of God. Praise relates us to the greatness of God. Worship, which is the highest activity of the human soul, relates us to the holiness of God. Let me talk for the rest of this particular session on the theme of thanksgiving. I'd like to read one verse from Hebrews 12:28.
That approach to ministry is an inherent denial of the power of God's Word to convert sinners and build up God's people by exposing our sin and pointing to God's grace at the cross. History contains numerous testimonies to the power of God's Word. A guilt-ridden monk named Martin Luther got saved by studying Romans 1:16-17.

Jesus' speaks in Matthew 6 in the language of a master to his servant, an owner to his steward, a CEO to his manager. The Biblical word for management is stewardship. It means a person who manages things that belong to someone else.

Once again, hold both your hands straight out in front of you with your knuckles turned toward your face. . . now turn your hands over. . .so you are looking at the palms of your hands. I want you to look carefully at your hands. . .they represent much more than skin and bones.
When we study giving in scripture, we quickly see that giving is more than dollars and cents. It is about a proper attitude and right relationship with God. Your attitude in giving can make a difference in how your giving impacts kingdom work and glorifies God.
